Re: Adjusting headlights

I have not got an area long enough indoors to do it and being as I want an early start tomorrow to get to Scampston Hall I think it will have to wait till after I get back from the rally As it will not be getting dark enough to see it properly until quite late.

Adjusting headlights

I have been told you can set the headlights by parking the car a set distance from a wall and getting the light to be at a certain height on the wall. But I have been unable to find any refrences to the required measurments that the car needs to be from the wall or how high up the wall the light nee...

Re: The national

have faith in your efforts. I would locally but that far from home if anything unexpected went wrong on its first run, then I would not be within easy reach of the tools to fix the job and no doubt the tools you would leave behind would be the ones you would require as it is impossible to carry too...

Re: Badge bar badge repairs.

Just got the badge back from Lewis Badges in Birmingham they have done a most wonderful job leaving the badge looking as good as new for only £35. I will post up a picture when I get a chance to take one.

Re: The national

Tanked up, oiled up, greased up, fluid levels ok, buffed to a high polish, set to go. Well it all right for some. All I have to do is get the coachline painted, fill the washer bottle, adjust the washer jets, wash the car, clean the windows and then wax it. (Then load it onto a trailer, as I do not...

Well then if it is not just me who has come to that conclusion, I will certainly give it a go and report back if they are indeed now doing it at no cost.

I would like to thank everyone for their help as the problem is now sorted. It was as said a case that both wiper boxes were on the same side of the rack.

But would that not cause the wiper to move the wrong way. Down on to the bonnet and not up onto the window?

Re: Wipers

Managed to fix it, with great difficulty. The spindle had too much play up and down, though it should not be wear as both parts are new. However the problem now is that the drivers side wiper parks at the bottom yet the passanger side parks at the top of the top. What needs to be done to resolve the...

Managed to solve the problem finally managed to get the top on the wiper motor to turn round. However I now need to get the passanger side to work as it is not catching and does not move at all.

Well I can send it off without any money and see what happens. It will then be up to them if they choose to do it or not.

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/433306/V888_200515.pdf I have just got the form above from the .gov website and it seems to state that for finding information on a vehicle you own or have owned incurs no cost?
