Traveller side window channels

When I replaced all of the wood on my traveller a couple of years ago, I replaced the side window channels where the side windows slide. I have noticed that the channels are rusting in a couple of places, through the material that covers them. I wonder if there are any better quality channels or oth...

Re: Interior trim. To do or not to do…

Just an alternative idea...If the seats and trim are intact you amy want to save some money and buy some vinyl seat spray paint,I did my old Moggie seats and door cards several years ago in red and they came up fantastic.

brakes pulling to one side

I went on a rare longer journey today in my Traveller and when I brake ,especially from higher speed the car pulls to the left, then right as I slow down. The shoes are about 6 months old and the brakes were adjusted correctly at the same time. Would I be correct in thinking that I may have a wheel cy...

Re: Cooking the spark plugs

My champions snapped on 3 of my ceramics, this with me not catching them with my socket.
I think unfortunately the quality isn't as it used to be on some plugs, I have fitted NGK with no issues so far.

Re: whats going on here then

Thank you everybody for the fabulous advice.I went to work in Morris today and it had a misfire that got worse so as soon as I got home I swapped the plugs for an old set of NGK that I had and upon removal of the old plugs, the ceramics broke on 3 of the plugs. The plug ends were red as pics attached...

Re: whats going on here then

I did wonder if the ceramic should be fixed and they were like this when purchased from one of the regular Minor suppliers.
I think it maybe time to replace with some champions ?

Fabulous day out and great to drive Morris on a decent journey, however when I got home I looked under my bonnet and the spark plugs were kind of sooted on the ceramic parts ..please see attached pics...

Re: Clever idea

Rims are originals that I had banded at an engineering firm followed by powder coating to finish. The bonnet prop mingles in like an original look I feel and quite right, lots more light in the engine bay aswell as less brain damage :D I do like the Mini although I dont use it enough due to the minor...

Re: No electrics after swapping solenoid

Solenoid yesterday, but you didn't actually attempt any functional test until today? You just changed it and walked away? Personally I find that incredible. It's like replacing a dead light bulb, on the car or in the home, and not switching it on for a moment to see if it's OK..... Yes it woul...

No electrics after swapping solenoid

I replaced the starter solenoid on my Minor yesterday and I went to start it today and there is no power at the ignition switch when I turn it over.I have no lights, wipers or horn either. I have checked fuses, battery reading 13v (inc swapping it) swapped the solenoid back again and still nothing, I...

Re: Traveller reassembly photos

Hi James I replaced the wood on my Traveller a couple of years ago and I was advised to buy the book, Morris Minor Traveller the complete companion by Ray Newell and I was glad that I did.
It is an excellent read and gives detailed advice on how to carry out the replacement.
