After the chemical paint strip there is no ‘protection’ to the bare steel so I opted for a temporary coat of red oxide primer whilst I carry out metal repairs.

Replacement wing bolts arrived this morning from ESM and I am pleased to say look pretty much spot on replacements. Thanks for coming back to me geoberni but I am after the 'pointed' wing bolts as in this photo.

The pointed ends are visible in the engine bay and boot. I have some second hand ones but not enough.

Best way to store loose body panels and create more room in the garage is to temporarily bolt them back onto the shell.

I've started to use my 'Sharpie' on the car now that it is all one colour to highlight areas of further interest.

Just wondering if the 'pointed' wing fixing bolts are available 'new' anywhere?

Spec is 5/16" BSF one inch long.
