And things are so good now in GB according to Boris & co., and if they are not good it's not their fault, it's everyone else's fault

Re: Caravaning with a Traveller
It's a Camp-Let GT made in 1979. We bought it second-hand mid '80s and used it at MMOC rallies, on MOT and for our main holidays. We used it much less after moving to France, and from 2001 it was just stored in a dry garage. We dug it out in September 2019 to see if renovation and re-use was viable:...

Somewhat off-topic, but then we are in the 'off-topic' section, here are some pics of a retro-camping AGM weekend we went to recently, on the banks of the river Isle near Perigueux.
Lovely campsite.

Re: Fitting tyres
Thumbs up here for Toyo tyres.
I put four on my trav some years ago when there was nothing else available and have replaced them as nec with the same.
I use my trav every day (it's the newest car in our garage) and in terms of price-quality we reckon they are good value.

Now all you need king Kenny is the magazine to go with it!
Hachette is one of those publishers who have ranges of magazines and models.
And look what I have found for you:

Re: Travellers now back to the level of 10 years ago!
That's the second pair of those struts, the first pair wore out. I do use my trav. all the time with canine friends in the back. I have had them for years. Yes they fit the original holes. They came from David Manners, www.abingdonmgparts.co.uk Telescopic stay kit, traveller rear doors, part N° LKG1...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
I helped out at a pop-up vaccination clinic in our village on Saturday. Despite it being a very hot and humid day everyone queued patiently, and it was great to see so many youngsters coming along. Our youngest client was 12 years old, the oldest a lovely 95 year old lady who doesn't go out much and...

Do you have any reliable data sources on the numbers of travellers registered outside the UK?
UK data alone does not give a true picture.

How about this for a vice:- Presented like that and on that stand it reminds me of Singer sewing machines, back from days of old, when we used to make things that sold all over the world in this country........ Singer Sowing Machine.jpg Just like my mum had (might even be her old one -- who knows)....

Re: minor matters magazine
Not yet.
The option of offering Minor Matters online as well as or instead of a posted paper copy is under review, especially as postage costs to overseas MMOC members have rocketed.
The subject was discussed at the 2021 AGM in May.

Lovely area around Exmoor, I haven't been there since 2005 and that sadly was for a funeral - and I was on crutches!

It's gorgeous, Philip, especially low season. Some nights we were the only ones on site so we had acres all to ourselves, plus riverside walks beyond. Lots to visit nearby too.
Looking forward to going back early September

Lovely spot, somewhere up north in England?
We were a Minor on Tour on a riverside site in France, 1971 trav and 1979 trailer tent - plus 3 year old dog on his first ever camping trip.

Rats, we've been rumbled!!!!
A quick tip from a Froggie : get a decent set of airhorns under your bonnet, a quick blast of those from a Moggy works wonders!

Re: Accident rate caused by Classics MOT exemption ?
MorrisJohn, the lorry incident was scary but no personal injuries to me or the dog in the back, and the lorry driver admitted he was at fault and completed the accident form on the spot. However the insurance assessor was a pain in the rear, he wouldn't let us repair the car, it had to go to a garag...

Re: Accident rate caused by Classics MOT exemption ?
I drive a Minor (or two) every day and I do my best not to contribute to accident statistics. Not that that has stopped a fully-loaded artic. backing into my trav. on the road (not even in a car park!), nor have my good intentions stopped a fancy low-lying bollard from leaping out at a front wing :o...
