Or leave her as she is. It would be a great talking point at shows.

Re: Can I mix E10 with E5 petrol?

Mixing them won't cause a problem. E5 is 'up to 5% ethanol' and E10 is 'up to 10% ethanol', so you never know what the percentage is for any fill anyway, even if you use the same pump again. If you have no choice but to use E10 then I suggest you add the E10 as soon as possible to get the maximum di...

Re: oil leak

As you don’t know, here are a few reasons. Over-rich mixtures cause: bore wear due to oil dilution/washing, unnecessary carbon deposits in the engine, Emissions in exhaust cause: pollution of the atmosphere by unburned particulates (like those they complain about from diesel engines, only more), Yo...

For that to work I think you need to upload a photo rather than a link to one on the internet.

I copied and pasted your link and it works fine (nice car and train by the way) so I tried a test post using Image and URL. The Image didn't work but the URL did.

Re: What are these holes for?

I found a whole host of holes all round the engine bay. No idea what any of then are for so I just put rubber grommets in each of them.

It depends what size tyres you want. The Toyo website doesn't list 145/80 R14.

Re: New Fuel Problem

Ethanol comes from crops grown specially for the purpose. Vast tracts of land have been turned over to these intensive monocultures with all the attendant pesticides, chemicals, energy used for harvesting and processing into fuel. This is good for The Environment. Whilst at the same time a signific...

Re: Broken clutch return spring

I have now managed to fit the new spring and there is about 1" of play on the clutch pedal before it meets resistance.

Do you reckon I'm okay to leave it at that until the service?

Re: Broken clutch return spring

Thanks Phil. I'll have a go at fitting it later. Checking the pedal clearance and the remaining depth of carbon I may leave until the service as I know I am going to struggle to get under the car to do the spring let alone the other stuff. Oh to be young again.

Broken clutch return spring

When the car went in for its MoT the other day (which it passed with no advisories) we noticed the clutch return spring was broken and hanging off. I have ordered a replacement and the car is due to go in for its service in a few weeks, but before then we have a tour planned of 200-300 miles. Is it ...

Re: Stolen Minor's

I've looked at that plate and there is a Z number on the left (Z + 5 digits) and another, very hard to read, number on the right. It looks like 4 digits - is that correct for the body number?

Ours is a 1959 Traveller.
