290 SLG - White Two Door Saloon
We owned this car 1961 2 door back in the 1980's - I think it is still on the road but would love to hear that she is still going. she was in suberb condition and low mileage at the time. Does anyone know if where she is?
Would love to hear from the present owners

Re: alloy wheels
Sorry chaps you are missing the most important and iconic alloy wheel from the 70's.
I am of course talking about the Wolfrace Magslot - 13" running 175/75. I have had these on since 1976 and don't think anything else comes close[frame][/frame]

Re: Oil Pressure gauge
Hi again
Is the oil pressure switch the same on a 1275cc engine as on the 1098cc engine?

Re: Oil Pressure gauge
That is correct - the oil filter is at the back right next to the oil pressure switch

Oil Pressure gauge
I have a 1275cc engine fitted and wanted to reconnect the oil pressure gauge but there isn'r room because of the GFE 150 oil filter that is fitted. Does anyone know if an extension hose is available like this one for the A series? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Oil-Temp-Pressure-T-piece-Bracket-Extension-Pip...

I've had the bigger brakes from a wolseley 1500 for years - big improvement without the expense of discs

Re: Engine oil Leak 1275cc
It is a 1275cc and thanks to the advice received I think I have solved the problem. Required a 15mm copper elbow from B&Q and some heater hose from Halfords - total cost less than £4. Connected it all up and left the engine running - normally this would have seen a little pool of oil on the driv...

Re: Engine oil Leak 1275cc
I have just been looking at this in the harsh light of a sunday morning. The crankcase breather is pointing upwards and is vert close to the exhaust manifold. Any tubing will touch the manifold and melt. Is there a solution for this?

Thanks for the advice - you wouldn't happen to know the diameter of the hose required?

Engine oil Leak 1275cc
My Minor has developed an oil leak from the rear of the engine (1275cc Marina). Is this likely to be the crankshaft rear oil seal that is gone?
Any tips on replacing? Is this an engine out job and any special tools needed?
Thanks
