Re: Fitting MM windscreen.

I have used twice a drop of superglue at top and bottom corners to secure the chrome trim but you also need to make sure the chrome trim is gently twisted / bent to right profile so that it sits fully into the rubber all round.

Re: Early sidelights as flashing indicators

I do the same as David M recommended or as an alternative on some of my MM & S11 Minors I have used the sidelight as indicator with a 21W bulb painted yellow & bulb holder and fitted early Mini Mk1 bulb type headlights with sidelights.

LOWLIGHT CHROME GRILLE WANTED

I have been asked by a club member to find him a good straight grille centre for a lowlight or an early highlight MM. Condition of chrome is immaterial but the grille must be straight with no dents.

Re: Last days for one of my MMs

There must be some parts worth saving or are lowlight parts still plentiful in Australia? If it was in the UK we would strip it to a virtually bare shell before scrapping it.

Frank Mcdonagh is the chap who had the early rubber made. I think he may have one or two lengths left. If you email me I will pass it on to him
bryan.gostling@mmoc.org.uk

Have sent off a sample of the later MM/S11 rubber to get a quote to have a reel made.

5 DIGIT NUMERIC REGISTRATION NUMBERS

Does any one know which , probably British Commonwealth, country used 5 digit numeric registration numbers in the 1950s ? I have found the original reg number 12397 behind the plates on my 1953 Traveller which came back from the USA a few years ago. Was thought possibly to be Guernsey but have drawn...
