Interesting one !! South American oddity like the DiTella 1500 (a Farina Pick-up with Riley 4/68 front end) maybe? Tail lights possibly late 60s VW Type 3 fastback ?

Re: Morris Minor Security

I've got a wire-spoke steering wheel and use a steering wheel locking bar as a visible deterent. Probably won't stop a determined thief but should make an opportunist think twice. I have a secret switch too. I box the car in on the driveway when I can't get it in the garage. I tend not to use the ca...

Re: Spotted today.

Looks lovely, and Austin badged, but if you want to see the best proper Austin pickup ever, check out the A30/35. Like rocking horse poo now, enthusiasts are importing restoration projects from South America! Cute and quirky but I suppose impractical as a working vehicle... no drop-down tail-board. ...

Re: Classic car meeting near Kidderminster

Marina was absolutely lovely. Had loads spent on it by previous owner. Current owner only bought it last week as replacement for a Ford 100E ! Even has an 8-track player fitted.

Re: Spotted today.

Spotted and snapped this morning by Mrs PB in Kidderminster. Half an hour later the car pulled up outside our house whilst I was washing the Moggie. I now know the owner lives a couple streets away and had seen my car whilst he was out walking the dog. Said he'd been wanting to have a natter. It's a...

Agree with firedrake. I'm sorely tempted by it. Unfortunately Mrs PB doesn't share my enthusiasm and my thin ice detector is working overtime :(

Re: Got a few grand to spare??

I don't like the non-original black interior in the Tourer. The '61 saloon is more my cuppa especially with that low mileage, and I love 4-doors anyway. Its the 3rd black 4-door they've had for sale in the past year. Other two were a nice 1962 and a 1956 Series II which is now mine! Wish I had need ...

Re: MOT pass - pleasant surprise

I'd never by a test-exempt car without a recent new ticket. I'm dustrustful enough of second hand moderns with 'new tickets' on them! Underside of the car was my main concern. I didn't get a REALLY good look at it before buying last year and I've not had time or space until now to do much with it. T...

Re: Classic car meeting near Kidderminster

If you can spread the word that'd be great. The meet seems to attract an MG Owners Club presence. I'm newish to the area and haven't had much local MMOC contact yet but a decent turn-out of Moggies would be nice once in a while :)

Re: Spotted today.

Also spotted last Sunday (Drive It day): Didn't have time for Birmingham Branch Rally so just went for a brief drive locally. No Minors spotted but had a very nice blue Mk.1 Consul convertible, with the top down, following me near Wolverley. Stopped for a cuppa at The Lock Inn and something small, l...
