Re: Vans and indicators

Not managed to find the pictures I was looking for, but you should be able to make out the trafficator in the B post of my old 1954 van (which I no longer own btw). If I find a clearer picture I will be sure to post it here! :D[frame]Image[/frame]

Re: Ex GPO TELEPHONES VAN - OPENING SPLIT SCREEN!

I am buying a Minor Van (ex GPO and originally green) with the split screen and opening section on driver's side. It needs resto but none of it is beyond doing at all. Fairly straightforward really. Re: Vans and indicators

My early 1954 van had indicators in the B-post and holes cut out for them to come through, although this makes them pretty hard to see by anything behind as the Van body side sticks out nearly as much as they do!
Can't find a picture to hand, but will see what I can dig out!

I made one of these in the late 1980's as pictured below and went around all the shows in the South with it, including the London to Brighton fun run as in the 2nd of the pictures :D[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1387441195_2922 [/frame][frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=13874412...

Re: Getting it home

You could always use http://www.shiply.com where you enter what you want moving from where and then people "bid" you for the work. I have recently used it (a couple of weeks back) and it proved a very cost effective way of moving a vehicle and the guy I chose was reliable too. Worth a look...

Re: Traveller wing piping

It should be Aqua coloured, but you can only get the common '60s colours in new wing piping so its whatever you think looks best. Black, white, grey, or Almond green perhaps..... (I have a similar problem from the other end of production inthat I need Romain green piping for a '49 saloon. May have ...

Re: Thefts at Cornbury Park

Is this actually new or has it just got worse? Its been going on since the first National Autojumble I held a stall at in 2005 for sure and every one I "traded" at afterwards. Its normally the small bits that disappear, never had anything large like wings go walkabouts for sure!! :o Yes, ...

You should see the state that some of these cars are in and the amount of time and effort put into making them solid again just for a few races. I admire their hard work even if I don't like to see the classics going round the track :( They are usually good enough to offer up any unwanted parts thou...

Right, a bit of detective work! If you look in the 4th picture you will see a sign in the background, "Sa******** *lass and glazing" Now, type "glass and glazing bedfordshire" into google and you will find a company with the postcode LU7 9NY Now type this into Google maps and go ...

Re: 3.9 diff

The ratio will be stamped into the crown wheel. The 3.9 will have 10/39 stamped on the edge and your standard 1098 will have 9/38 (or 948 will have 9/41)
I hope this helps? :-?
