The gaiters on my saloon, which I've owned for just over a year, have also suddenly perished on both sides and let out all the grease! They were fine when I bought the car.

I've noticed that the modern replacements are made of a very floppy, thin rubber.

I'd have to agree with bmcecosse. I've tried a Weber 28/36DCD on my 1275cc Midget engine and it was hopeless - no amount of fiddling with it would get it to run right. My 2-door saloon came with no seal fitted, but two spare lengths in the boot! They didn't have any sticky back, so I used impact adhesive.

I hear what you're saying there! I purchased the car with the hubs and standard Minor wheels fitted, but would like a set of the Morris 575 hubs to match the 4.5" PCD of the rear axle. They appear to be very difficult/impossible to get hold of though

People keep saying this, but me and my brother have run them for a good while without problems (1.8 in a 1998 Freelander and 1.6 in a 1999 Rover 416SLi). As long as you keep an eye on the coolant level and temperature gauge, they're not as bad as the reputation would suggest.
