That looks fantastic! only 68,000 too?! Do you think that people prefer travellers having lighter colored wood or heavily varnished? Very jealous of that paint work

Quick update for you :) Progress is pretty good...complete rotten side removed leaving some rust in the 'boxing' plate just behind the main cab pillar. Have the roof off as well so i can move the car more safely! The 'alright' side is still on, only as i cannot get 2 rounded coach bolts out. Any sug...

Hey man, i'm in the same boat! Got a woodie project on myself...how did you get the roof off? Is it all those bolts going through one of the roof 'arches'? Keep us posted with some photos!

Hi, I'm still having problems working out exactly what i need to do when it comes to 'freeing' the top rail from the cant rail. My Haynes restoration guide's picture isn't much help! Yes i have removed the headlining retaining bar, it says to use a large screwdriver and prose it up...i can't see this working without damaging the roof....

Right i hav managed to get it off and unscrew'd! I used a screw driver and levered the plastic cover off, as suggested! Moving onto head lining!

Thanks for the replies! I have got all 4 screws out however my seat belt bracket is completely plastic with no obvious 'cap' ... there is a screw that i can just about see on the rear of it but this is all but unreachable...

Hiya!
Finally started my open wood surgey on the car! Have got as far as removing the seatbelts and hit my 1st problem... how do i remove the 'seatbelt wood capping'... i can't see/work out how to remove it with the seat belt guide attached...how do i remove the guide?
