Re: Interior trim screws
Try Spalding fasteners for the black screws, I've used them for my Midget and been pleased with them. I can't remember where I got the black cup washers, I thought it was Spaldings but can't find them on their website- I'll look this evening and let you know.

Vacuum advance flame trap - is it necessary?
The vacuum advance pipe on my '68 saloon has a number of dodgy extra joints where the copper pipe has previously broken, so needs replacing. My question is can I replace it with plastic pipework with no flame trap, like that fitted to A series Midgets? If it's not required on Midgets why does the Mo...

Re: Minor 100 exhaust fitting non standard manifold
So, I've now modified the manifold I bought on eBay as per the attached, which I've checked and it will fit with the Midget inlet manifold. Just to fit it now.

Non standards wheels?
My Morris 1000 has what I think are non standard wheels. They are stamped lp896 I've seen reference to these on the forum as being 4.5J wheels, which tallies I think with the 165/60 R14 tyres fitted. Having measured them I think they are 4.5J rims. Question is what are they off, and are they suitabl...

Parcel shelf template
I've got a 68 saloon which I bought recently for which I need a parcel shelf. Having read the posts, it appears owners sometimes make their own from thin ply as the commercially available ones are a bit flimsy, which I'd like to do. Also I intend using a red covering to match the upholstery and carp...

Re: Minor 100 exhaust fitting non standard manifold
Thanks Phil, I picked up the manifold today, it's ref is 2A896 which a search on eBay suggested it is off an A35/A40 or early mini, and is equivalent to 22A1141, but I've no proof so would be interested to know if anyone can confirm this.

Re: Minor 100 exhaust fitting non standard manifold
Many thanks for all the responses. Now I know it is a Midget manifold and I can't fit a standard MM exhaust to it, I may have a solution - I've just bought an alleged Morris Minor manifold on eBay which apparently is stamped with 2A898 08 ( I've still to collect it) pictured below. Could I cut the i...

Minor 100 exhaust fitting non standard manifold
Hi, my wife has recently bought a '68 Minor 1000, with a very noisy exhaust ( it has a cherry bomb silencer which leaks!). We want to change it, but the complication is that it also has twin SUs, so it doesn't have a MM combined manifold, but i suspect MG Midget inlet and exhaust manifolds. i've att...
