why lock a post

I see the post has been locked after me being denied future help by an admin member, now that's an abuse of power surely and why do it publicly ?. I did write a post in relation to me only just noticing that I am to be declined help by the said admin member but I hadn't noticed the post had been loc...

Re: POSTING A PHOTO

Come on guys this is starting to get out of hand. I know what its like to be on a committee running a car club. I have been on the committee for the Austin Seven owners club for 40 years and I have been on the receiving end of club members who criticise but never volunteer to help in the running of...

Re: POSTING A PHOTO

The root of the proble Mike is that not everyone understands (or needs to) how a web page loads, you have gone to great lengths to explain it as if everyone knows. If you had explained it in laymans terms you may have got your point across. Just my twopenneth worth. At last someone who can see why ...

Re: POSTING A PHOTO

As a member for some considerable time now and having a tourer that I'd love to put a picture of on this forum, I like many many people do not have either the knowledge or the patience to upload pictures on any type of internet sites Although I wouldn't go as far as to say that I am computer illiter...

Re: Heavily Undersealed on MOT

I personally will not buy a car that has got any underseal on it what so ever. I've walked away from quite a few over the years that are undersealed as its a gamble as to what's it hiding / covering up! and it's not the best substance to put on a well sorted car as it dries out and cracks allowing m...

Re: AA pre delivery inspection

Shame about the locked subject as I'm sure a vast majority would love to know which dealer to avoid, or perhaps its just best to err on the side of caution and avoid them all ? As previously mentioned on other chats, i.ve been to see quite a few so called "restored " cars from various rest...

Re: My First Moggie - never again if this is what garages are like

Just a shame the company can't be named and shamed although I understand why. And I've said it time and time again, just because the garage may be a long established minor dealer it doesn't mean that they sell quality cars sure there are some good genuine ones out there and just as what has been sta...

Re: New member and "Anybody know this car"

I currently own a tourer and I have been after a good quality saloon or traveller for quite some time now ! I took a look at this one online some weeks ago now and just one glance at the timber was enough to put me off it. AS has been stated it's had a recent paintjob which even online pictures does...

Re: hood frame overhang

I have a factory made convertible and if I don't "totally lock " the frame in the closed position and by that i mean all the "pivot points" are closed, folded, then the header rail on my car doesn't appear to line up. Not sure if this is of any help but give it a go it's both the...

Re: How to find out if factory convert

Look for spot welds as opposed to tag, running welds under the dash by the" A" post. If spot welds are present then it's a genuine tourer as this is the strenghting parts of the tourer running from under the dash to the "A" post. Also another easy one is to see if there are any i...
