Re: replacing the rubber boot on taillights
As I recall, with a bit of persuasion and washing up liquid, the bullets on the end of the leads will push through the new boot or gaiter

Re: Scttish Scrappies??
Oh these poor jags.
There is a wood near where I live full of old vehicles that I keep promising to investigate, The trouble is that each time I think about going there I hear at the back of my mind, banjos playing the theme from the film Deliverance........

Re: Spotted today.
Spotted today in Saffron Walden (Essex) Very nice looking Two Door SBY225 looked like a 1961-3 from the front sidelights. Re-furbished seats and modified suspension (?). I left an Uttlesford Branch flyer on the front windscreen.

Re: Scttish Scrappies??
Probably but managed like a business. The charm of an old style scrapyard was the ability to group to the usually sullen and uncommunicative chap on the gate and ask if they had any Moggies. Then carrying the toolbox, saunter down the rows until joy of joys you found one. My favourite was in Felsted...

Re: 57 Saloon, rotten!
Bit harsh! I like to try and get things right but am no pedant. I drove my 57 4 door for years with filler and fibreglass before I could afford new bits, putting on modern front and back lights for safety and visibility and have slowly brought it to a stage where I can restore it to functional origi...

Scttish Scrappies??
Not Exactly found but worth a look. Tax discs on the green one say 11/03 and I think the interior of the Clarendon Grey is 11/07, I have e-mailed the photographer, seems to be somewhere in Scotland to find out when and where the images were taken and whether he knows if the cars are still there. It ...

Re: Swapping indicator lights
There is a good picture of a modern wing altered to accept the earlier lights on the minor on Page 118 of ray Newell's Book 'Original Morris Minor. If you pm me with an e mail address I will send you the image. It shows the correct orientation of the shaping. and hole structure

Re: 57 Saloon, rotten!
If you are going for original as all your hard work seems to indicate then the boot board struts are body coloured. Not sure about the boot itself. Like yours, mine is black. ~The boards themselves are a matt black finish. I wish my '57 4 door looked like yours !

Re: Fuel sender- 65 van
If you look at any for sale from any of the major suppliers and / or flea bay they are all the same. The sender is sealed into the tank with a cork gasket ( rubber now available) - I cut mine years ago from gasket card. One pole is the car body, the other is on the sender unit with a wire to the gau...

Trouble is that listening means every new rattle, crush, whine, clunk leaves me panicking that something vital is going to fall off.....eeven though I know how well maintained she is.

Probably a local rep for the 'Apostrophe Protection Society' http://www.apostrophe.org.uk . Some of the examples on the site are hilarious and thoroughly depressing at the same time!

timings
I know that many of us Morris owners secretly yearn for the time when our cars were everyday features of British motoring i.e. the past but......Another glitch in the new system . Messages are timed 1 hour earlier than BST, It does not look like the system detected the time change last month !!! :ro...
