Re: Split screen chrome surround, help.

I didn't realize they were brass underneath. Quite good quality then. As an aside, if re-chroming is prohibitively expensive, you could always remove the remaining chrome bits and polish up the brass, it might look rather good, certainly better than nothing and very distinctive. Best wishes, Mike.

Re: My new boot storage :D

Hi, They look really good. :D You are right, it is all too easy to fill the otherwise quite roomy (IMO) Minor boot, I need to rationalize my boot contents at some point............ (mini garage at present!! ) As to BMC's border crossings, I wouldn't blame the Scots if they did vote for indepe...

Re: Blood donor

Don't worry I sourced some blue. I say sourced, as I ended up buying it on line (eBay), £12.99 / free postage. I couldn't find anywhere round Mansfield that sells it neat (concentrated) for a reasonable price. Also I agree with the thorough flushing, including the heater matrix, they do work allot ...

Hi, With regard to the paint, a thorough 'T' cut and polish should bring it up okay. If you're not satisfied the first time just go over it again with more 'T' cut. I rate Autoglym polish, it will give you a great finish and it's easy to use. With only a week to go you don't really have time for an...

Hi, Just thought I'd post up this shot of Abby helping out her cousin Miranda today. [frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1410643861_7965 [/frame] Miranda the MG is my latest acquisition, all the way from Dumfries in Scotland. I was looking for another Minor but couldn't find what I wanted fo...

Re: Yours, if the price is right.

To be honest a rusty car with no MOT requiring lots of welding, before you even look at anything else, is not worth more than a couple of hundred quid at most, no matter what badge it carries.
If people are prepared to pay silly money for wrecks then more fool them.
Best wishes,
Mike.

I'm guessing 'built' means the day it rolled off the line - complete. Not the day it had a body number attached...just before the workers sloped off home to celebrate Christmas! Uh oh - I used 'sloped' - is that ok ??? You might get away with it, as long as you're not later caught reciting a...

I just fitted an old Minor washer bottle and its bracket, that I had knocking around, near the rad and then dropped the existing overflow pipe into it.
Works a treat and didn't cost a bean!
