damn, i think i have just realised what the two bits of petrol pipe were for! they came out of the oil in the bowl after i took the old filter out. someone's stacked them up somehow at the bottom of the oil bowl, then dropped the filter in to get it to sit at the right height, instead of using the c...

so i went out to do the oil change, up on the ramps, everything going fine. dropped the sump plug and in the drain pan the oil went. next the filter bowl, wow quite a few turns needed to get her off! couldn't find the universal joint, would have made things more comfortable but found it after, alway...

you've just reminded me to get an antifreeze tester from ebay, even if you don't drain her down every couple years, you should top her up to a good percentage.

hi there, the clarke machine mart generator about 230 ex vat. with the 6.5 generator engine. it has the oil screw thing with the dipstick. where do you fill the oil? is it in this hole where the dipstick goes? doesn't say on the tin. secondly. what type of oil SAE30? cheers. also there's this slider...

removing all windows and seals best way?
hi there. what's the best and quickest method for removing all windows and seals for a bit of derusting and then the best way to apply the new seals, (and the best place to get them), and then windows back in? i don't ask for much do i?!

round plug square hole. doesn't get around the fact that I need an 11mm square and a hex socket for both!

i want to make sure i have everything to hand next time i get under there! (i am impatient) :evil: :evil: and i got fed up with not having the right square heads for the diff. i have a set of hex heads and af sockets etc. looks like i will need to ease the diff open after a warm run with a breaker b...

i might just get a single 11mm but is the oil drain plug a hex hole or a hex head taht a normal socket can bite on to? thank you as always for you help.

can anyone find a set of sockets on machine mart site with the 11mm square or 7/16s that I can put on a breaker bar?

diff. its on the back of the casing. I will need to put a socket on a breaker bar.
