Re: Ka seats suitability/fitting?

Thanks. PM'd as requested. Only thinking about this at the moment as an alternative. Obviously would rather have genuine moggy seats, but they're like hens teeth, especially from a 1960 model in genuine leather too! :-? I may place an ad in the 'wanted' section. Plenty of Ka seats out there anyway, ...

Ka seats suitability/fitting?

I've read on an advert that these are an easy and suitable fit for Moggy's, front AND rear. Is this true, as the very tired leather seats in our 1960 example are becoming almost unusable and extremely uncomfortable now, and I currently haven't got the £1000 plus to have them re-furbished back to 'as...

Re: Lower door repair kit or whole skin?

For what it's worth I recently asked the same question on here and I decided to go for a lower repair panel from ESM , the fit was almost perfect and mine wasn't too bad either. At £17 + vat it was a steal and the outcome from the body shop was a door that now looks as good as new and the paint sho...

Re: Intermittent weird starting problem

Years ago I came across a battery with the same symptoms. One of the connections inside it between the plates had come loose but you could not see it as it's inside. One minute it would behave as if it was flat then it would appear to be fully charged. This happened because the connection was makin...

Why when it's started then, does it behave for the rest of the day?
Surely if it was a dodgy earth connection it would misbehave virtually every time?

Or to repair the existing ones perhaps?

They really aren't that bad, but I don't want the inevitable holes filling only to start bubbling up again in 12 months time.

If that could be done, then that would be my favourite option.

Lower door repair kit or whole skin?

decided after great deliberation that I'm keeping moggy now, and am going to get it nicely refurbished where required. Bottoms of the 2 doors are bubbling, noyt badly, but in need of replacement imo. Which route as title suggested? Repair panels for £30 or full skins for £130ish iirc? Is it possible...

Re: Intermittent weird starting problem

Sounds like a poor connection somewhere, possibly at the battery, or where the other ends of the battery cable connect, or maybe the earth strap between the chassis and the transmission. How old is the battery? It may be the battery acting up. Had the battery tested yesterday, as i REALLY thought t...

Intermittent weird starting problem

1961 1098 Moggsy. Invariably.... but NOT always, the battery appears to be nearly but not quite flat if it hasn't been run for a day or two. Interior, oil and charge lights all dim. Put it on charge, and within 30 seconds it's showing fully charged Had the battery checked, and it's in good health, a...

R H Insurance - Google is your friend...... It's no secret.... Dunno about 'under 21' - you didn't mention that.... http://www.rhclassicinsurance.co.uk/ Sorry. Didn't realise RH was the actual name. I thought you lot were just using the initials of the full name like FJ and AF. I'll bookmark that p...

Who is RH btw?
Keep asking but no one's telling.

No good ringing them anyway if they don't insure under 21-25 yr olds.

I'll certainly be trying them for my mk1 Fiesta when the renewal is up in July though, but I REALLY could do with actually knowing WHO THEY ARE...PLEASE!!

Re: Footman james/Towergate, thanks!

As far as I'm aware, RH don't insure under 25's. Anyway, this HAD to be sorted yesterday morning I'm a bit confused :-? In January you posted to say that you had received the renewal quote from Towergate and that as it had increased you had tried Adrian Flux but they were more expensive than Towerg...
