Ok Jules, let it rest. If you had responded straight away in an open and honest way when I first politely pointed out your 'mistake' it probably would not have snowballed. You further annoyed me by saying the people who commented on the subject were 'small minded' which was totally unnecessary. Just...

To clarify why I felt strongly on this case that started the thread. 1. Take one beyond repair and scrap '68 Minor convertible 2. Take one '68 2 door Minor saloon 3. Do some good strengthening work on 2 door saloon and make it a convertible conversion 4. Offer 2 door for sale highlighting that the u...

V5's, chassis plates, probity?

There are often indignant posts on this site relating to V5's for sale on ebay, and rightly so. There are also cases of doubts about a vehicles true identity, which again should be challenged. I have been labelled 'one of a number of small minded people' by the advertiser of two cars on here, (see ...

Stolen traveller

While it is fresh it would be sensible to get it registered on the www.twoc.co.uk web site which lists cars 'taken without consent'.

I hope you get it back. Good luck!

JWM 296 is not shown as on the DVLA database. Your only hope is that it is stored somewhere and never been registered with DVLA. There is always the very remote chance the car was exported.

Your convertible DJT 434 C is not shown on the stolen vehicle hotline www.TWOC.co.uk (Taken Without Consent). Maybe a good idea to post it on there. Also see Esther's message.

Stolen Minors - Hotline http://www.twoc.co.uk

Esther/Sefton,

Neither of your cars are showing on the stolen vehicle hotline http://www.twoc.co.uk/ .

Might be a good idea to record them there as should anyone else who is affected this way. They may highlight the Bristol stolen Morris trend.

So these scumbags are just allowed to do as they like.

'Great' Britain at its worst. Drop a bit of paper or put the wrong thing in a litter or wheelybin and you're hounded and damn near locked up but proper crime solving is relegated to a 'victimless occurence'. Makes you sick.

Esther, Sefton, have you heard any more from the Avon police?

Did you contact the media and if so were they interested in the missing minors?

Definitely get together and go to the press. This spate of thefts is newsworthy and with luck will get real exposure. It could also put the wind up the thieving morons and you might find your cars too hot to for them to hold on to. Sooner the better, as time is important in getting them back in one ...

I had a K reg trafalgar blue traveller in the early to mid 1990's when I lived in West Wittering near Chichester but I can't for the life of me remember the registration number or anything unique about the car. I think it was actually registered in 1972. It was in reasonably good shape and I sold it...

Keep on to the police every day for as long as you can. Even write a letter to the Chief Constable explaining that yours is one of many losses in the area. Ask what's being done to solve the problem once and for all. See if the local paper will do anything on Moggies going missing there. Even a lett...

Really sorry to hear of your loss. Are the police really showing interest in solving the crime? Bristol keeps coming up as the area where Moggies are stolen, probably to order. Various ones have been listed on here and there must be others. Has anyone ever got one back that went missing in Bristol, ...

I knew someone would find a sensible use for one of these wheeled bins one day.

Maybe a Health & Safety guy would do a bit of head scratching if they saw the approach. :D

Really sorry to hear about your loss. Time we had firing squads for pondlife that do this.

Have you any photos that you could post on this site and any distinctive features of the vehicle apart from the colour, which of course could change?
