Does anyone know what the measurement AF of the nut is? I would like to make my own spanner.
Thanks

Re: Gravity bleeding with servo?
Gravity never worked for me, I found the only way to bleed a new braking system is to start at the front offside instead of the rear. Once you get fluid into the system the air will soon bleed out.

If this were my car I would be replacing all 4 cylinders. If 1 cylinder has failed the others won’t be far behind.

Re: Clap Hand Wiper Issue
First thing to check is that the wiper blade is fitting firmly into the spoon end of the wiper arm. If it does not you find that the sweep is affected as it just flops about as it moves.

Re: Tail light series 2
Remove the connections from the switch and connect them together, that will then make both light up, you can then check for a bad earth or poor connection easily. Disconnect the coil as the ignition will be on to prevent damage to the coil.

Re: Brake problem
It's normal for the m/c to do this, just replace the top when bleeding to stop it getting on the paintwork. The problem will be air in the system, I have found the best way to bleed the brakes after major work is to start at the front o/s then front n/s then rear o/s and rear n/s. Then go around in ...

Regardless of weather my 1961 car does 100 or 1000 miles per year it will still be mot'd each year. Now I know this does not mean that even after the car leaves the station it is still roadworthy I shall do this for my own piece of mind.

Re: RH flashing indicator problem
Take all the connections off the flasher unit and when the switch is operated all will light up. This will show if it is a wiring or flasher unit fault.

Do you need to have the brake pedal depressed when using the gunson device? Or do you just open the bleed nipples in turn?

The root of the proble Mike is that not everyone understands (or needs to) how a web page loads, you have gone to great lengths to explain it as if everyone knows.
If you had explained it in laymans terms you may have got your point across.
Just my twopenneth worth.

Re: Winter
"Or are we just getting soft?" Are you kidding? Without all the technology we now depend on, most of us wouldn't have the slightest chance of surviving an Ice Age like our hardy, mammoth-hunting ancestors did thousands of years ago! In fact, how many could/would survive a breakdown in the...

Facebook the font of all non knowledge.......
You don't need to soak it in oil, that's why it's made of carbon it's essentially self lubricating.
I seem to remember a thread on here where the poster changed the thrust bearing to a mg proper bearing?

Re: Cloth wiring loom recovering
Black wire syndrome is common in the Radio Controlled modelling community, experts say it's a chemical process that causes it and it increases resistance in the circuit. The only way to counter it is to replace the whole loom.
