If you still have a vhs player you can get a gizmo for converting them to your computer off the internet .Take off the cover of the vhs player and clean heads and spools etc to remove any contamination .Depending on condition of tapes you may find they have mould ,if you look on internet you can see...

Seal rubber to body and glass to rubber while you are at it.Using silicone sealer causes corrosion to the window apeture.

I think they were prone to getting loose on the posts as some people tapped them on before doing up screw which caused them to become loose. Many a time had to take off "helmet" (no rude comments please) and hit the side to make a better connection to the post

No rocker cover on side-valve engine.If you mean cover plate for tappet adjusters, mine is painted same colour as engine

I think you will have to make a bracket from rear lower edge of wheel arch to chassis to fit . A pic of the kit would confirm the actual type you have
