A Morris...

18, believe it or not.

It was my son's wedding car yesterday.

There were only eight built, and this is the last one left.

Wow, is all I can say... literally the icing on the cake of a great day!

Re: what other hobbies do minor members have ????

rog you are not in eggheads are you   Not quite in that league :D but I did appear on "15-1" twice Rog I've captained an Eggheads team: we lost! I've also been on Brain of Britain. Came second in my heat to the eventual winner, who caned everyone by subtle cheating: or perhaps i...

Re: Anyone play golf

Does a set of golf clubs fir in the boot of a saloon? The thought only just crossed my mind  Being in possession of a Minor and a Set of Golf Clubs, I can confidently say that you can't get a standard modern golf bag in the boot of a Morris Minor without great difficulty - and you certainly w...

Re: Million on ebay, Yorkshire

That car deserves to come home!

If that really is its original registration, then it's a Pembrokeshire car... come home, Minor Million, come home!

Someone's mis-spelled something....

E-bay number 190446262617.

Someone used the word "restoration".

I think they meant "resurrection"!

Re: Spotted today.

A grey F reg saloon in Haverfordwest - FJM 525F from memory - driven by Lyn Salter, with his wife Jen and son David on board. He stopped in Morrison's car park, so I couldn't resist following him into the car park, and stopping for a chat! He's a Club member, but he didn't say which branch! Actually...

Ford Type 9 gearboxes

I've seen them mentioned in various places... and I know Jonathon teams them up with Zetec engines... but could you just bolt one into a standard Minor? Or maybe a minor with a 1275 Ital/Marina/Spridget engine? Would you have to change the rear axle, or the diff?

Re: How to work a push heater

Funnily enough, I've got the opposite problem! I worked out that the switch underneath the heater switches the fan on and off - it didn't take a genius to do that - and I worked out what the slider bar in the heater was meant to do. I looked at the valve on the top of the engine block nearest the bu...

Re: Help on the Interior

Well I KNOW there's loads wrong! That's rather the point!

That's why I need pictures of an ideal Morris. In philosophical terms, it's a platonic thing.... when is a chair not a chair, that sort of thing.
