The prop shaft is no more special than any change of gearbox / rear axle would require.

My local prop shaft company in bridgend was able to knock one up for me without any problems.

I tried the method from practical classics over the weekend and was very impressed. I manged to get the soda crystals from wilkinson at 55p a kilo it does seem to take a while to work, i am going to try a big anode next time to see if it is any quicker, but i would recomend giving it a try.

When I removed mine I also had to remove one of the wheel boxes (forgive me if that is not the correct term) that the wipers are on as it had seized up and would not allow the cable to come out.

Do not rule out ebay as a source of wheels, I recently picked up a set of four mondeo wheels for 99p. When i went to pay the guy he said not to worry, he was just grateful to get them out of his shed!
