Did you take a shot of the cab floor underneath during the restoration? and who are those chicks in the back?

Thanks for that advice jonathon, can you reiterate about the "top lever arms" again. here's a shot of the floor taken today after I unbolted and moved out the passenger seat, rubber matts and general debis. There's more metal there than I expected, but as a reference point its lessened by ...

Ian, I would really like a shot of the underside of the pickup cab floor without the chassis on it. I'm planning on doing the cab rebuilding first, I need some shots as a guide. The cab will have to be rebuilt in a homemade timber jig, my main focus is on not letting it sag out of alignment. also so...

Helen G, thanks for the ebay steer, very interesting to see the bed like that, great help in locating the body attachment holes, mine are so covered in rust I can hardly make them out.

Worthing, I used Westbourne motors of Fontwell, their HQ and control are in Haywards Heath. Great bunch of lads, lousey coffee.

Notice the tyres now have air in them, all three, well, one innertube burst, but thats three more tyres inflated than I expected.

Its a strange feeling travelling behind the recovery lorry with your prize find on it, it always causes a stir on the road as passers by gawp. I couldn't help smiling as the bonnet bumped open like a mouth saying "ouch"with every bump in the road.<br> http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=123...

Recovery day, finally got it up and away with help from Keith (pictured) of Westbourne motors, we had to drag it out by its prop. the prop held and up she came.

Thanks guys thats great advice, I'll try digging troughs behind the tyres to ease the movement as well. I'll also do some investigation with the dvlc and try to keep that original number. Have they got a website where you can look up your reg.

thanks bmcecosse, does that mean they'll let me keep the original number? and while your'e here, I tried a good hard tug on that bonnet release handle and its stuck fast, any advice, I've not even seen the lump yet.

By the way can anyone tell me, if the owner can't come up with the original docs for the car will I be able to register it in its original registration/index number with the DVLC?

would rabbits chew the seats to pieces? no thats gotta be a rat hole. if the young are left to their fate I won't miss any sleep over it. Rats are the only animals that give me the creeps.
