Last Minor Ever......really ?? (Manchester)
Nothing to do me with but a £500 starting, price and mis-listed under "catalogues and brochures" so not many people will see it and it may go cheap with a short listing. The description claims its the last ever Minor. ?? I doubt it because its not a van and the last handbuilt one was N reg...

Re: roof rack
I know the last post was a year ago but I just wanted to let you all know I've finished my roofrack. I know it'll add to the fuel economy and it has alloy gutters etc but its the look I like. I decided not to add the rear reflectors I had planned as the BMC logos and 'Morris Minor' badge is sufficie...

Re: I have read the stickies... but what colour is our Morris?
Yep, according to the Paul Skilletter bible, Sage Green was introduced in late 1955 for the 1956 model year - the last year of the Series 2 and continued into the 57 model year and the introduction of the 1000 model. It should have a grey or green upholstery and body colour wheels (until cream wheel...

Re: Not Starting
I had a problem with Woody stuttering when he got hot after about 20mins. I was nearly kangarooing and felt like all power was being cut to the engine. I thought it was a serious electrical or fuel issue. Like your problem, lots of nice kind help all suggesting the fuel pump and distributor / points...

Re: CONVERTABLES
Look at the corner of the dash and see if it has the extra triangular pieces, I believe inside the sills should also have a strengthener. I would also look at the V5 and check it says convertible, not that it shows any support to a decent job, but it shows an element of responsibility by the convert...

I'm surprised no ones suggested this one, looks cleaner, more original and £1000 cheaper http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1955-MORRIS-MINOR-803cc-Lots-of-Money-Spent-/121900741954?hash=item1c61d9b542:g:msEAAOSwCypWpk9I[frame][img]http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1456262038_20480[/img][/frame][frame] http...

Re: Low-light appears on eBay
I've seen the ad (not the car!) - its a nice looking car - it should be sold with a preservation order to ensure it isn't resprayed and over restored to look like a new one. The paintwork and chrome looks lovely, although I don't like the a rear reflectors. I also like the lack of hubcaps - gives it...

Re: HELP NEEDED - 1954 Morris Minor saloon
Here goes - I'll give it a go. This is for a Splitscreen 2 or 4dr. Totally rotten and has been stored outside with ripped interior - £200 to £500 depending how good your ebay photos are and if its advertised correctly. I've seen complete cars advertised in the wrong section on ebay i.e literature / ...

Well a Google search finds this company that covers South Derby. http://www.mirabelleclassiccars.co.uk/ Unfortunately your evening do is the wrong direction of the M1 for me to help (I'm in North Sheffield) and insurers can be funny about weddings, it would have to be voluntary and with no mention o...

Re: CHANGING ENGINE IN 1962MORRIS 1000
Or, instead of spending the money on a bell housing, you could spend it on a 2nd hand zetec engine. Someone mentioned £1500 to fit a 1275, for that you could buy the Omex ?? injector kit, a scrap mondeo, modified sump and a water rail. Of course, I assuming if you are looking at a 1275 conversion th...

Those are cool pics, do you still have the car or know of its history. The current keeper would love a copy of them.

Your 58 2dr with a red interior isn't 518UXH is it ?? My old car. The car is SORN every year in July but seems to have vanished off the face of the earth, must be hiding in someones garage, last seen in Leeds. Not recognised by the MMOC, not on any facebook forums and the DVLA refuse to forward my l...

Re: Old club sticker
I remember this sticker from the early 1990's, prefer it to the current one as the latest has a solid line on the bottom so forces you to place it on the base of your window. But that's just me being OCD about how my car looks.

Re: So frustrating
For Seatbelts, I used the inertia on Securons website, not cheap but seem ok. I have a Traveller so be carefull what you order. I seem to remember the size they recommend is too short (on the rear Trav seats). Its the front stems that cause the problems. Im sure I used London Taxi Stems and I fitted...

Re: im new and need advice already
I actually thought the wheeler dealers Traveller restoration was one of their better efforts - totally wrong shade of Almond Green though! Yes Ray Newalls Traveller book is essential for wood advice. The Haynes Restoration manual is good but its a shame its all black and white.

Good Luck trying to find a RWD Celica or Starlet gearbox from the early 80s. And if you find one it would be 3 times the price of a Ford unit.

Re: Sad looking Million off to a new home
Yep £1000 for a complete genuine Million, I'd say it was worth it just so you could say you've got one of the rarest Minors ever built. I've seem similar condition GPO vans on ebay for that money. Got to be better than money in the bank.
