Turquoise
Cream
Black
Clarendon Grey
Birch Grey
Dark Green

They were the '57 colour choices, I think clarendon grey is quite a light shade so I assume yours is Birch grey.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

well the top part of the carpet is supposed to fold over the top and screw in along the top underneath the rear seat, if that helps.

Re: Crazy prices

A friend was trying to tell me today that tidy Minors are now worth 10 grand!! Apparently he'd read that in Practical Classics. Alas, I've found the article that I think your friend was talking about it's in 'Classic and sports car' magazine, it's an interview with Charles Ware and he stated that m...

duotone seats where only between 62 - 64 i think, but the DL had leather seats and i think in the earlier models you could only get a heater with DL spec. Were windscreen washers a DL extra aswell? :-?

Hmmmm, looking in the haynes restoration manual it states that they were body coloured up until October 1956 and were then in light grey till '59 when they became OEW.
I thought that the body coloured wheels and grille were only on the series II anyway.
Now this is getting a bit awkward :-?

There's an article on this in last months Practical classics, they had a petition to try and move the tax exempt barrier to the rolling 25 year system but the government have said they are sticking to the 1973 cut off date.

Sorry I havent got any photos but I do know of a couple of minors in the Northamptonshire branch with seatbelts from the outside inwards. So I'm going to try and fit them the same way on mine, I'll send you some pics in a few months time when I've put my minor back together!

If you buy the seatbelts new from Bull Motif they are priced at roughly £25 for 1 inertia seatbelt or £15 for a static one. For the back it is common to see the reels on the parcel shelf at the back in the middle with the other loose end next to the door. I'll try and find a photo later. Why do you ...
