drain the oil,remove the sump remove a big end and main bearing cap and have a look at the condition/wear.

Electronic dizzy fitted.if you have fitted the low tension wires the wrong way around the dizzy will prob have failed.check for spark at plug as already mentioned.

Just got the bill for my 1275 rebore,new pistons/rings .re face block and head,regrind crank,new big and mains.unleaded conversion.Best part of £700. then gasket set,studs,engine and gbox mounts oil etc...No winter holiday abroad for me this year then!

Years ago ibought an astra gte "non runner" from the local car auction for £20. put a battery on it,drove it home and flogged it for £850!

Thank you, but She will not,ever ever ever use any kind of chemical whatsoever ! no slug pellets,miracle grow etc or anything..60foot x 30ft poly tunnel and an acre of land,i only go there two days a week.fighting a loosing battle ere,lol.
