Re: How much do I sell my car for?

Having seen that Hillman around locally I can say it does look very nice. Its a much rarer and more interesting car than the a Minor though, I would certainly want to keep it! Hope it finds a good home and it would be a shame to take the number off it.

Re: FAVOURITE LOCOMOTIVES (TRAINS)

For a short time from the early 60s into the 70s we were blessed with several classes of diesel locomotives which had German Maybach engines and hydraulic transmissions. The finest of these locos were the D1000 Western class. These had two Maybach MD series V12 engines and were a pleasure to see and...

I have always found the four door Minors the most practical of the saloons. beware of those trying to drive the value of four door cars down because they want their front doors for vans and pick-ups...

Re: FAVOURITE LOCOMOTIVES (TRAINS)

Thats a Class 37. It has a 12 cylinder English Electric diesel engine. This drives a generator which powers the traction motors, one on each axle, via various control equipment. Class 37s are a very well regarded locomotive and there are still a number of them in main line service.

Re: Introducing Hetty!

If the car is solid I would keep it and make it into the car you want. Limeflower was a hideous colour, it looked vile on MGs too! Just my opinion of ...

Re: Favourite whisky (corrected)

A lost distillery, such a shame. A pub near hear has it on their whisky menu, 18.95 a go, and it really is magnificent.
