All the Moggy engines Ive seen are green but mine is yellow. Were engines painted differently in different years? Mines a 63. As far as I know they were all bmc green . Does anyone know where I can purchase some engine paint? I will be taking the engine out of my minor soon to do some welding and thought I would take the chance to tidy up my engine bay Thanks in advance

If you are going to buy one, I would imagine it would be a good idea to register with an MG forum (I used to use the MG Owners BBS) You would need to find another gearbox, but no idea on prices as already said you would need another gearbox there are a few on ebay they are fairly robust and should ...

Update . Engine running and sounds nice Oil leak from front right hand corner ? looks like may be from head gasket :roll: engine coming out though as front crossmember ? under rad rotted totally. Hi all just saying hello, not yet a minor owner but soon hopefully . Looking for a reasonable car to improve gradually really , I do have some workshop facilities but don't want a total basket case . Looking forward to ownership and maybe a show or two in the future
