to answer your question on the legality of limping home on mismatching tyres..

yes it must be as many / most modern cars come with space savers. as you have pointed out you then have to drive home slowly 50mph is the normal limit due to the different tyres giving different grip \ braking rates

its for cars where the indicators worked through the rear lights.. if like my car yours has been updated to later rear lights this is just bypassed for the indicators

i used 3 in 1 for several years with no problems until i cleaned up the carb inside and out after which it just died when the car got hot, i swapped back to using the recommended oil in the carb and all was fine

no idea why there is no judging \ voting, it is just what i have been told and i do not want someone to put their name forward without knowing that the custom and modified register will be doing self judging and show goer voting as we have done in previous years.
