Already got manual on computer from bmc link thanks, would like to return to screw terminal reg at some stage so will prob look for one whilst also looking for spare engine as would like to recon my engine but not sure about my block as studs are suspect in block

hi bmc
problem is my car is sidevalve and an alternator will look out of place the regulator was replaced in the past as it is not the screw terminal type and looks clean inside I was thinking of one of using one of the switch cleaning sprays

I have a problem with my regulator in that the red light stays on until I remove regulator cover to flick contact to make light go out ,but when I start car again it happens again can any lubrication be done to the mechanism and if so what can I use

Hi Andrew Yes there are lots of shades to black, when we mix black for cars there are a lot of different tinters that can be added blues, reds, greens, yellows, other blacks and even whites if I recall, sometimes there may be four or five different tinters in the one colour, even seen metalllic tint...

If you can find an area of paint that will not show you could try a rag with cellulose thinners on it and see if the paint softens if it does it will either be cellulose or possibly synthetic. If you polish with cutting compound a laquer finish will not colour the cloth,

I did the conversion . Very easy to do . I think I got a new copper pipe for between the two cylinders at the same time not sure about the flexipipe as I got a new brake pipe set but I think I ordered a set for my sidevalve and just ordered new pipes for the front wheels

Hi The reason for my query is that after the head gasket blew on my engine and replacing the head gasket when I was torqueing down the head (to the sidevalve values before anyone asks ) one of the studs was pulling out of the block and I had to helicoil it i also noticed one other had been replaced ...
