Phil, I see that Murray's daughter Joy's obituary appeared in the press a couple of weeks ago. She too was a very successful racing driver.

With the distributor cap removed, ease the engine over with the starting handle and note which way the gubbins in the dizzy turns. To retard the ignition (but see reply above first) the distributor body will need turning in the same direction; to advance it, turn it the other way.
