Re: Door Hinge Colour or Finish
Hi Richard, i dont think any paint was used on the backs of the hinges, but i would use a zinc primmer on the casting and then a aerosol colour to seal it after its been de rusted graham

Re: Interior light/courtesy switch wiring
i think the interior light and horn are both on the perm live fuse and the wipers are on the other fuse which comes live when ignition is on , anyway back to the question, you could try disconnecting all three wires to int light to see if this rectifies the fault but i think if the black and brown a...

Re: Re-registering a 6 chr number plate?
i think they would give it an age related plate, usually with" x" in it or a unused scottish plate with "s" in it, "q" usually gets issued if the car is made up from various other cars parts eg a kit car

Re: Rubber washers
i agree with martin ,use an old car inner tube, cut the hole in a piece of rubber first then use a biro and draw round the chrome bit and then cut out with scissors, it will last longer then anything you buy, hope this info helps ,graham

Re: Underseal Removal
Hi Stephen, i found using a blunt wood chisel gets the thick stuff off and then a wire brush in an electric drill to finish off, it is time consuming dirty and definitely the worst job to do on a minor.it might be easier to remove the wing from the car and lay it on some old carpet to protect the pa...

Re: Insurance write - off , Why?
looks like it wants, 2 wings bumper valance, bumper blade, over rider, grill , rad panel, headlights ,paint, all at garage prices, there is a good chance the inner wing and maybe the chassis has slite damage, only pattern parts are available which may not be a straight fit, may need lots of fetling. so ...

Re: Painting in cold weather
what i did was to warm the underside panels with a hair drier or fan heater to remove any condensation from your breath etc and then brush on a coat of zinc primmer, then seal all panel joints, next day warm it again and then spray stone chip all over, next day warm up again and spray body colour. I...

Re: MMT Door repair
hi i dont know if it has been in minor matters, but what i would do is cut a piece of metal about two inch long and place it behind the crack and secure it by two self tapping screws one each side of crack. next mig weld the crack together. next remove one screw and drill hole out to 6 mm and plug w...
