Re: New MOT exemption
Those that intend to carry on getting mots will do so whatever the details, and I was surprised to read that everyone appears, to indeed have that intention. Yeah but we're the ones that care. It does make you wonder whether theyre gonna make mots hard to pass tho. I cant understand why they dont h...

Re: bypass hose - again (or not)
You can just use heater hose for the bypass. Thats all you get when you order a solid one. If yours looks ok just order a fluted one to carry as a spare. If it looks perished just replace it for a solid one. I replaced mine when i changed my head gasket tho you can do it by removing the water pump. ...

FB_IMG_1511620712996.jpg Picture outside girlfriends grandparents. They had a convertible 1957 one as their first car. The neighbour there started talking to me about it and parked next to it for a photo. The man in petrol station was also asking questions. On the way up a lorry waved and a Bentley...

Re: Front suspension rebuild question
When put my front suspension back together i didnt have any weight in it aswell it was just a shell. I just fitted the torsion bar arm 'the thicker one' so i could get it all back together. Then one of my last jobs once the the engine and box were back in was adjusting the ride height. Which involve...

Re: Can you apply for a V5 mid restoration
Yes you can get the get the v5 before putting it on the road. I suggest you do this asoon as you can. I applied for mine paying the £25 but then had to send it back once on the road to register it as historic for the tax exemption. I think the post office sent it back. You can still use the car tho.
