Re: Beehive Springs -again!
I can’t fault the logic but I thought beehive springs or not, the shoe springs should always be at the rear, never the front. Re: solar panel
Yes you’re right and a little used vehicle is quite likely to be in said garage, as mine is. However depending on the location, there is the possibility to site the charger outside. Waterproofing could be another issue though.

Re: Lockheed Brake M/C
Looks like someone has had them shot blasted in an attempt to clean them up, that’s the sort of finish you can expect from that process. You need to be sure with secondhand brake parts. I’ve got a used cylinder that I feel is fine but I’m reluctant to advertise it.

Like all things in life, it may not strictly need doing but it’s what gives you peace of mind that counts.

Maybe the OP was thinking of this, doubt this would be the case in his example. An interesting read however.

Re: Ominous Engine Signs? (magnetic sump plug)
With the standard sump plug, draining the oil over the years is bound to leave sediment on the sump bottom, then when you fit a magnetic plug all those particles over the years are suddenly drawn to the magnet, so you’ve probably got all those years worth on your recently installed magnet !

The valves are as your measurements. They came from a Mini Cooper S cylinder head.

2000 litres, nearly 500 gallons ! are you sure ! Cheaper to buy a new chassis !! That's exactly what I thought when I saw that it's 50 quid for 5 litres. With him being a bit of a celeb, I imagine they gave him the whole lot for free and put it on the marketing budget. Check my maths because someth...

Re: Remote battery isolator
Nothing wrong with an internal isolator, however I have one fitted to a battery terminal under the bonnet. I’m sure if I had a problem, I’d be under the bonnet pretty quick ! However if there was a fire, wouldn’t it be like bolting the door after the horse had bolted ?
