A decent Traveller takes some beating! I'm always collecting stuff that won't go in the Bosses year old Golf. And it's a lot more fun.

Re: Quaterlite Mirrors

Yes Samuria, they look just like my Charlie Ware ones, but a bit cheaper. Are they resisting the rust?

Re: Quaterlite Mirrors

I've been very pleased with the classic chrome mirrors from Charles Ware. Look right, not bad to adjust and haven't gone rusty after 3 years.

Re: A car for the family to enjoy

I agree that a Traveller would be far more practical. Also much better rear vision so safer. Some in your price range in latest Minor Matters ads.

Re: Supermarket petrol.

That's what works for us! The old cars seem to like the dearer stuff and the Bosses new golf runs fine on anything. Couldn't prove it, of course, just how it seems to be.

Supermarket petrol.

Friend of mine is a self employed mechanic. He's started advising customers to avoid Morrisons petrol due to s..t in filters. Think I may have heard of this before. Urban myth?

Re: how's your legs??

At university, back in 1971,we replaced most of a moggy floor with flattened beer cans. Under seal beneath and carpet glued on top. Passed 2 MOT's I think.

I paid Charles Ware £110 to wax inject all internal box sections. They advised doing it every 3 years. Time will tell if it works but can't do any harm?

Cataracts!

Anyone else restricted to daylight driving because of cataracts starting? Tried the coated glasses, almost useless. Optician says not bad enough for an op,and to be honest daylight vision is fine. Once it's dark every oncoming car blinds me. Got 4 classics that I would like to drive more! The boss is...
