It could be the inner wheel rubbing. That was the case with mine and they do mention the wheel spacers required in the instructions that I got from ESM.

Re: Mystery pipe
Kingsley, The Landrover flame trap does act as a separator. It has coarse gauze on the inside. The reason I connected it to the inlet manifold was laziness as the connection was already there. The brass "thingy" upstream is a restrictor so basically has the same effect as connecting to the...

Liam,
Exactly what I did. I changed the diff from 4.22 to 3.9 and the speedo was then spot on.

Re: over reading speedo
If you can't get it sorted I can build you a speedo corrector gearbox that sits on the back of the speedo. I have built loads of them over the years for differential conversions mainly for MG but the speedo threads are the same (M12x1mm) on the Minor.

What is the TPM on the speedo?
Have you a standard four speed gearbox fitted?
What is the differential ratio?

Re: 3D printed suspension parts
Phil,
Some of these seals fail before a restoration has even been completed and the car back on the road. This is especially the case in the MG scene. They just crack and break up. I put it down to ozone problems.

Re: 3D printed suspension parts
Nearly there.
I have just received these back from the 3D printing service. These are TPU and I think this is going to work. One small change required but nothing major. I am quite pleased. This could save a lot of owners a lot of work!

I make them myself from Viton sheet. Actually that is not a bad price from Moss considering the cost of Viton.

Re: Brake reservoir kit
Phil, The thing about the stainless steel teflon braided flexible hose is that with the banjo fitted it requires a large hole ~18mm in the chassis leg to fit which I don't like. The hose is pre-assembled as I would not expect anybody to fit the banjo themselves as the braid has to be flared and the ...

Mike Sanders anti-corrosion grease is what is recommended here as being the best on the market according to the Technical University Aachen. I read a report a few years back where they coated steel plates with various products and left them out on the roof for several years to test them. Mike Sander...

Maybe this version might be better. I will order a test piece. It would take two cable ties or two M2 screws and nylocs.

Re: 3D printed suspension parts
I got some suspension parts from the printing service today. Mixed feelings! The TPU, although highly durable, is a bit too hard for my liking but the parts may be useable. The actual fit is very good. The two part kingpin seal will not work as it is so it is back to the drawing board on that issue....

Mobylette, They should be here on Wednesday. My mate and I are checking out industrial glues at the moment. If we can get these working we can save a lot of people a lot of work. I am very pleased with the first sample bushes that I got. It looks promising. I have also ordered a gaiter that I use on...

Are you sure it is BSPT on the axle? I would have thought that the plug is tapered and the axle a parallel BSPP thread.

Taupe,
I confirm the ones in the photo are 25 teeth. They were used on both Jaeger and Smiths speedos. Depending on the marque and the calibration there were 20, 25 or 32 teeth. They are all available.

Re: Timing cover leak solution?
There was a diagram on here years ago concerning that pin. I don't know who it came from. I followed that suggestion when I installed the tensioner on my car and never had an issue with it.
