Re: Isopon by the truckload, what to do?

The flange I'm referring to is at the bottom left hand of this photo. It is on a repair piece I've welded into the inner arch, but the original is the same arrangement (without the slots I had to cut to form the curve).: [frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1452377661_15308 [/frame] The replac...

Re: Isopon by the truckload, what to do?

Great work, Don. Takes me back 3 years when I was doing similar 3 dimensional jigsaw puzzles (and not finished yet....). Interested, though, in the junction between the flitch and the inner arch, which seems on yours to have the flange wrapped round the outer face of the flitch. On mine this flange ...

Re: Edd's 1969 2 door. UHU62H

Fairly standard procedure on a traveller is to poke the back end of the boxing panel behind the b pillar, and worry about the connection to the boxing plate extension some time in the future when the wood is replaced. It must be OK 'cos the Haynes resto manual says so! Can't see that what you have d...

Keep up. It's "Station Stop" according to the guards, sorry train managers, on the TransPennine Express (the slow trains which join the towns of the Northern Powerhouse together)

Re: So!

"Can I get", as in "can I get a coffee", when the meaning is "may I have". Hear it all the time now, where did that come from?

When talking about proposed projects - "Can it wash its face?" or "Let's see if its got legs"

I was once told by friends that their daughter was named Heather because that is where she was conceived. I've never able to meet anyone called Austin or Morris without thinking of that since. :)

Re: A few questions

I don't think the water is coming from above since since it's all under the carpet, there's none on top. On mine the water was tracking down the inside of the B post from the T rubber (or possibly the gutter at the top of the B post), so not showing itself until it soaked the carpet and rotted the ...

Re: A few questions

I'm in the middle of repairing the driver side B post on my traveller. Pockets of rust at the junction with the roof and around the lock striker (and a lot more at the rear floor) point to penetration through the T rubber, so I'd have a good look at that. I'm assuming from other replies that it is a...

Good grief! Is someone building a fleet? Sympathies to both owners and I'll keep a look out on t'other side of the Pennines.

Re: Annoying 'Flashers'

I nearly caused an accident a couple of weeks ago by pulling out from a car park into the path of a car which I thought had flashed me out. He hadn't, he'd gone over a small bump. I suspect the modern headlights are more directional as they seem to create the flashing effect quite easily.

Re: Trevelers sills

Actually, they didn't design that piece of steel and tool up for it for the Traveller. They had already produced it for the convertible, where the need for additional strength is beyond question. Much as I love the Trav, close acquaintance with the design beyond the B pillar does reveal that its dev...
