Re: Sticking carb needle
Thanks, my car doesn't have an additional fuel filter and I was reluctant to go the electronic route but if I have to replace my distributor to check its working I might as well replace for electronic but its all expense. I might just be a fuel blockage. Or, I might find out the problem persists. Th...

Re: Misfiring!
OK, so you agree its unlikely to be the coil, you've consider installing an electronic ignition but what did you do to fix your stalling problem - did BMC's advice about the Vacuum Advance Pipe help - I was reading the thread looking forward to finding out what this is, where it is, how to replace i...

Re: Help! Suspected carburettor problem.
So what happen, was it the carb needle that was bent, was it a dirty float chamber or was it the stupid unleaded additive in the pipe. Was the poor running problem fixed or did the car just burst into flames when he tried to start it, explaining why the fix wasn't posted !!

Re: Sticking carb needle
Just spent 10 minutes reading a post with no solution - again - very frustrating. My car is also suffering from fuel starvation but only when really hot (20 minutes driving and about 20 miles) Looses all power and starts stuttering till it stops. Pull over, give it a minute and it fires straight up....

Re: Advice selling a Minor
If you list on ebay, make sure you list with loads of proper photos and make sure it's in the correct catagory. I've seen many a bargin because a car was listed incorrectly. For example, someone recently paid £500 for the last ever Morris Minor 2dr because the advert was rubbish and it was listed un...

Re: Looking to rescue a Traveler.
I hope you've got a spare £500 to £1000, that's the going price for a complete rough Traveller with rotton wood. Even project Saloons are £500 now.

Brilliant idea to go on the bridge for a photo, wish I'd thought of that, do you have any more at other angles ? Mine was the Traveller by the entrance.

Barnsley Elesecar - 2016
Another brilliant show by the Barnsley Branch. Well turned out and the rain held off. Sorry if your car isn't photo'd if it is and you want a full size copy, please private message me. This very corporate photo was taken by my 8yr old on the way, the car is also photoed later. [frame] http://mmoc.or...

Re: Re-registering a Moggie
I've read on many forums that the DVLA often request any original documentation you may have. If you have to send anything to the DVLA, take colour photocopies which you can keep as evidence and always send recorded delivery / signed / tracked for to prove it has arrived. You read all the time that ...

Keep your eye on ebay, you could always search 'Morris Minor breaking' and message someone with the earlier heater.

Re: Last Minor Ever......really ?? (Manchester)
So glad I put the post up (even though I was secretly hoping no one would bid and I'd offer £250 after the auction!!). I genuinely feel if I hadn't have raised attention we may have lost the last Minor saloon as it was listed under 'Parts and Catalogues'. Anyone searching for a project would have mi...

Re: Last Minor Ever......really ?? (Manchester)
He's acknowledged my message but not commented on condition. Given this, all you can do is assume it really does need ALL the floor, spring hangers, inner sills and inner wheelarches replacing. In which case, £500 is a fortune for a 2dr shed. But it would still be nice to have the last one!

Just so you all know, as there is interest in the vehicle, I have messaged the seller to make him/her aware of this post and that we are wanting to have a proper description or photos of the work involved to save it. Thanks all for your interest. Lets hope it goes to a decent enthusiast.

I've not even had a reply from BMW Mini so I doubt they're interested in this rare piece of factory history.

Re: Last Minor Ever......really ?? (Manchester)
Thanks for the interesting story, unfortunately the Gov.uk MOT has no info and it looks like it was last taxed shortly after you drove it yourself !! Andy, I too think maybe the club should look into it, maybe not restore it but just get it back on the road ? As mentioned, I've informed MINI BMW as ...

WOW, I stand corrected - I have emailed MINI BMW. If this is genuine, it would be nice if they could save it as an important part of Issigonis and Cowley factory history.

Re: Last Minor Ever......really ?? (Manchester)
But surely, if you had the last Morris Minor 2dr, you would properly document and evidence it with proper photos in your advert.
