Re: Engine trouble
I have 2 engines partial mounted in my garage, and one rebuild in the car. The one in the car is rebuild by me. I have also a spare head, together with an old ignition, this makes it easy to look. So when you are not far from Assen/Groningen/Drachten, you are welcome to take a look ;) Without a wate...

I have a spare speedo, also a "Dutch" one, but they looks the same. My original one with 71882 km's, is already in use in the car, and changed a little ;)[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1465929572_12584 [/frame] This is my spare one:[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=146...

Re: Orange rubber Vs Ethanol
In Europe, a lot of hose manufacturers are active. In the Netherlands we have "Eriks" . This company has remade the original flexible hose between the pump and the carburettor for me, using the old connections. I am for sure in your area they are also. Maybe a dealer from the Parker Hannif...

big temperature difference in sidevalve engine
After the long time from working and waiting, today a short drive on the road. After a few kilometres, back home, and open the engine bay. The head is hot, just like the top from the radiator, but the bottom pipe and the bottom from the radiator is cold. Is this normal when not a water pump is mount...

Re: Front seats.
They are not easy to find...
I only have a pair from this as spare, found a few weeks ago, because you never know ;)
Sometimes it is better to restore your old ones, or are they complete gone?[frame][/frame]

Re: original hinge side windows
Looking on the old pictures from the 1950 car, one of them was also without external hinge, the other side was without hinge, so not interesting, I think.
But the small one can be the one for my (later) 1951.
The only problem is, I have two, for the same side...

Re: original hinge side windows
you have to open the window complete, to see this part.
And because both sides are the same, and all is chromed, this does not look like a local modification.

Got the license number this week, now waiting on the license plates, because they have to be the "old type" you have to order them and wait.
Insurance is ready, so when the plates are there, I can drive on the road.

Re: This Europe referendum malarkey
The UK will thrive if we leave, Made in Britain will become a badge of pride for sellers. It amazes me that no government of any flavour has revived the Buy British campaign that was popular when 'ahem' most of us were young. Without the UK the Euro will probably collapse, Sterling will remain stro...

what parts needed for mounting original water pump on USHM3
I try to prepare all to mount an original water pump on my engine, but what parts I need, and change? as first, the original pump, but this one has 2 outputs. One for the heater, no questions. The big output goes to the radiator bottom? And needs a special hose, but the original one on the side? Do ...

painted line on MM wheels
I had a green spare wheel with a line on it, but on my black wheels is nothing. Because my black wheels are never repainted, and without a line, I did not notice it. Was this line an option, or not for all wheels? I repainted the green wheel, and the spare wheel, and now still have 2 wheels in the o...
