I didn't know of the existence of such sites, a very useful tool. Many thanks for that link.

Re: Rust found on inner rear 'humps' — advice needed, please!

Moggiefan I am glad to see you are still posting on the forum. I can understand your feeling the need to remove previous postings. Your problems with your lovely Minor must be taking quite a toll (physically and mentally) and I am sure you never dreamed your initial requests for help would cause suc...

 Was dubious about the title - but thank you for bringing humour to the forum all of you! Agreed that the poor ant has almost been squished on my screen in the past too!

Re: 1970 Trav "IGOR" (modified) PIC HEAVY!

Well Polo I hope the work front picks up soon, know all too well how soul destroying it can be looking for jobs. At least your project keeps your brain cells ticking over - shame even budget projects cost money which tends to bring a bit of a halt to things for a while, hope that is not the case for...

Re: Rust found on inner rear 'humps' — advice needed, please!

Mark I totally agree - I always search for reviews when purchasing any item. We had problems with our LCV refurb and it would have been great to get reviewers advice before going ahead with it. Your points are very valid and I hope the common sense of them makes sense with those who have to sort out...

Well Polo I am awestruck - you have done so much work. It's great to see it taking shape and the photos are very informative. Where do you get the time? Igor looks like he will be a very interesting beastie before too long.

I don't like the sound of your wiring mess! What a shame you have to sort out something that the previous owner thought was fixed. Hope you don't have any more nasty surprises.

Dryad - it is good to see you still have a sense of humour (e.g. Tesco cone!) but it is not fair that you have had two big bothers in such a short space of time. Many thanks for sharing your woes though as it is a good reminder for us all to check things, which reminds me we also replaced all our lc...

Re: It's a bit like our old cat

Sorry to hear your lovely new Moggie has not been as well looked after in the past as it should have been by those who are supposed to know what they are doing to our wonderful machines. As for the reference to your cat! Well we had a very moth eaten looking old tom cat we rescued and boy has he bee...

Re: Indicators

We recently had the same fault and so fitted a new flasher unit - but the new unit was faulty and gave up the ghost after a couple of attempts! So we had to find another unit and have advised the parts supplier of their faulty part.

Re: Whats on your screen saver?

Mine is a picture of Jonathon (from JLH Morris Minors) charging round on one of his track days. Would love one of my Dad's van from childhood but none seem to exist in good enough state to use.

Hello spied a trafalgar blue saloon as I ate lunch in Cambridge and then on the way home a lovely sandy/beige pick up near Wimpole (XJH 233J).

Re: JLH

As a newcomer to this forum I have to say I am deeply saddened by whatever is going on - I have enjoyed reading everyones posts and it is always good to know both sides of everything. I thought this site had a fairly good banter between those who disagreed with others. I think the loss of JLH is a r...

Re: Security.

Just another thought. When we had a 1962 Saloon it had one of those fuel cut off switches but we ended up taking it out (hubby was very poorly so that was the quickest and cheapest way for me to keep it on the road); the problem was it would cut out at stupid times due to a faulty switch. Worked fin...

Re: Classic Volvo's

Whilst not in the same classic status as yours we have a 1969 Minor LCV and a 1990 Volvo 740 estate stablemate. Have owned both a several years and Volvo is a great workhorse and sheer luxury to drive compared to the LCV but not as much fun as the van of course! Have fun with your fleet! Plin

Re: mystery running problem! 3 AA calls in 3 days!

So glad you got the problem sorted. But I agree beware of Mr AA ! We have usually received great service from them for our everyday cars and our Minors but not always! I well recall my 1962 Saloon refused to budge in the school car park so called the AA. First thing the chap says as he looked my car...
