Re: Steves Morris Traveller 1970
Iv just ordered the sills and a pillar cover panel. I hope the pillar cover you have ordered is better than the ones I ordered from one of the major suppliers of Minor parts ( :D ) some time ago. Mine were totally useless  . They were so far from the correct shape that it was impractical to t...

Re: Paaro - Morris Minor 1000 1957 4 door restoration
Hi greendefender123 Just so you know the saying 'teaching your grannie to suck eggs' is reference to the time when old ladies (grannies) used to give painted eggs as gifts at Easter. They used to make two holes in the top of the egg and suck out it's contents most probably not then consuming them m...

Oh ideal im just getting mine ready for tip over onto old tyres aswell. Shame that gearbox tunnel turned into a problem so quickly. Maybe cut it out abit smaller and remount it differently? Tho im happy to have the access to the chassis legs. Really looking forward to seeing your progress.

Re: Steves Morris Traveller 1970
Well we have some progress! Back panels fitted. Having to really tidy up the o/s due to the welder having a leak. Couple of places needed rewelding but all good. Iv just ordered the sills and a pillar cover panel. Im leaving the o/s boxing panel as it requires no welding. Had to order the bits as it...

Re: Steves Morris Traveller 1970
Well iv been very busy with my trial cars the last couple of weeks. Tho the good news is i got a gold on the Edinburgh trial. Iv also lost all energy and my joints are getting really bad. Just putting the wood together abit first to make sure itll line up. Its surprising how hard it is taking on someone...

Looking good. Whats your plan for the painting? Iv gotta put metal back before i can paint. Iv use chassis black, which has lasted well on other cars. Still perfect when primed properly.

Re: Steves Morris Traveller 1970
The hose has split on my welder, being new to gas mig i just thought it was me. So the new rear inner arch needs some more work doing to it. And iv got to fix the split in the hose. Pain as its a new welding torch. Im guessing the new rear repair panel needs abit of work to fit the inner rear arches...

Re: MMOC RAC Breakdown cover
Ha the AA have dropped the quote to £155 iv just asked them not to renew for the moment. Unfortunately breakdown cover on your insurance would only cover that car. We have 4 on the road at the moment. Newest car is 1998 so its nice to have breakdown cover. RAC looks the way. Cheers.
