Re: The Gambia Expedition

Brilliant this has got to be one for a wider audience in Minor Matters. How did the tyre under the bonnet perform? lots of debate in posts on the form on the wisdom of this. Any modifications ?

Re: Fitting Front Seat covers

Various tips are available if you put 'Seat Refurbishment' into search on the forums.

This one is in Dutch but as the poster says - good illustrations

Less of a 'barn find' and more of a 'middle of a field find.' Should be ok with a bit of fettling....... possibly bits of more than one car there!

Re: Swapping indicator lights

I have to agree with myoldjalopy. Especially if front and rear are a mix and match. Yours is a transitional car, between the 56-60 and the modern post 63 and the white indicators show that. NB I have seen much worse wings!

Re: Swapping indicator lights

You should have all the wires you need for fitting the (more) 'modern' sidelight /indicator assembly. The 62 had white flashing indicators at the front combined with the sidelight in a single bulb. I am assuming that you have these from the picture, as well as a flashing relay under the bonnet usual...

Re: Woolies leather renovation stuff

Ian, That is so useful. Mine look exactly like the underside of your seats, although the leather on top is in a different pattern without pockets. I have small tears on the outside corners of the lower seat sides which I need to repair before they spread and on the passenger seat a couple of the str...

Re: Woolies leather renovation stuff

I drove up to Woolies to give Neddy (Minor) a run. Extremely helpful an i have cleaned the seats to day. The white piping which will never really be white again is markedly cleaner and the gunge that came off the vinyl and seats was amazing. I am going to clean again with toothbrush etc before paint...

Re: old warden

Andy / Dale, We are not far away in Uttlesford - Saffron Walden, really at the conjunction of Essex, Herts, and Cambs - and I have long thought that we ought to inform neighbouring branches of any activity so as to foster inter branch relations etc etc - any excuse for a day out! Our biggie is 13th ...

Re: no power to trafficator switch

Given that this is a frequent problem and possibly as a result of the website changes and given that much of the time a photo on the site can well illustrate a problem or issue, it is time the club addressed the difficulty many are having. Have you considered the LED flashing festoon bulbs in the tr...

Re: no power to trafficator switch

can you post a picture of your fuse box arrangement. I only have two fuses on my 1957 and yours may be different buy you could try taking a separate (long wire) feed from the power / fuse box to the trafficator live and seeing if it still works
