Re: Sump gaskets
The cork seals , I think it was recommended here on the forum, should be soaked in oil overnight before installing. Seemed to have worked in my 1098 engine effectively, no apparant leaks.

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
What a tragic example and a lesson to us all, despite the high statistical recovery rate, to take this virus very seriously. My doctor relation has told me that in Holland , they do not put anybody over 80 in intensive care any more because even if they survive ( only less than half do) they are pra...

Re: Baitings dam in the 1990s
I liked your videos a lot and great to see the Minor in action. Every year in my part of the world, there is a lokal ralleye - the last two years not but I had a look in UT and found this from 1983.

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
I think it's worth pointing out that it's not necessarily that the EU are exporting vaccines through, is it?! It happens that the companies manufacturing the vaccines are based in the EU or in the UK. I don't think it's the great generosity of the EU, or indeed the terrible wickedness of the UK that...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
There are a lot of sceptics about but also many people getting turned away from the vaccination centres because the supplies are not there. But it gets more interesting so something strange is going on - I have just heard that AZ in the news again are sitting on 29 mio doses in Italy and that it has...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
I was interested to see if it was true that the countries in mainland europe were in a third wave, so I had a look at the statistik. Indeed many are. But also some are not. Portugal , for example had a huge wave in second half of January and now virtually nothing. I wonder where they got a vaccine f...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
The EU are under a certain amount of pressure from within because of the share policy. They have exported 49 mio doses of vaccine abroad for which 10mio went to GB . This was due to the very high death rate ( the highest in europe) and infection rate around dec early jan. GB on the other hand have e...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
Good for you Berni and Owlsmann too! I count my self very lucky that with 70 years fast approaching I do not have to take anything and can still run 10km in under 50 minutes despite my regular intake of Hefeweizen in the evening. I have noticed that in our society , there is generally a fear of bein...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
It gets worse. Now in Germany there is a temp stop to issueing AZ. This morning it was reported that UK had only 51 cases of side effects and that with far more numbers being vaccinated - so nothing untoward. The question is why have there been possible serious problems elsewhere after the AZ vaccin...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
Not sure why that is a sign of weakleadership? Anyway Denmark and Norway are sovereign countries and can decide what they want. So too Holland , I read this morning. My Doctor step son tells me that his "industry" are sceptical that AZ did not do sufficient trials before the vaccine was su...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
Hallo Owlsmann, the short answer to your question is that I do not know. Our "problem" if that it can be called is that Germany is comprised of Federal States and they have responsibility for organising the impfzentrum etc within their areas. The central government ( the Bund) powers are l...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
I doubt that Frau Merkel would do a live TV vaccination - she is not into US american style sensationalism, it is just not her style. Also she would be open to accusations of queue jumping as she is not yet 80. It must be old news about the over 65s and AZ vaccine, it has already been given the go a...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
Thanks for theupdate and info. Just a minor correction, it was not the Government itself that gave AstraZenica bad reviews but the interpretation of our media. I get some inside info from my step-son who is an Allgemeiner Mediziner ( GP I think with you) . Apparantly the Euro as well as the national...

Re: Who's had the Covid vaccine? Anyone going to refuse it?
We both had our first jab last Saturday. TIP: if one of you gets an invitation, then ask if your other half can be done at the same time. Quite correctly, the doses are allocated to those most in need, but there are usually one or two "no shows", and if your other half is on a reserve lis...

All met Morris Minor Pandas were fitted with the rubber diaphragm to take account of large bums. I never knew of any failures and they did take a lot of punishment. Really? My experience is the opposite . The steel insert wire rips out after very little use and then you have to discard it. The stra...

also praise from me - always used to get stuff from them in 3 Days to Germany. They did send in error a few years back an order to a freinds house in England where a previous order had been sent to which I collected during a visit. They offered to resend it to me here which was a super service but m...
