Repainting them can be difficult. We fitted stainless steel door tops from a traveller to our 2dr (same door size) No more rusty door tops.

Google "auto paint suppliers, Plymouth" find one local to you and then take a glovebox lid with you. They have the technology to match the paint you have. That way you get the right shade.

Another giveaway - obviously a convertible had no interior courtesy light (no roof!) so there should be no holes in the door pillar for the courtesy light switch. If there are the vehicle started life as a saloon.

Check that the rear wings were painted off the car. If it has been resprayed whilst on the car the wing piping with be painted too. In this case if in future you need to remove a wing for maintenance, the paintwork will be damaged.
