Re: notifications and emails?

There's an issue with the message board at the moment. I would wait until that is sorted and then see if you get anything.

Re: polishing

It depends how thick and soft the paint is. The paint on the old MX5s is notoriously soft and it's not unknown for DIY'ers with a DA polisher to go through to the primer. I haven't polished our Traveller since we bought it in 2010. It's waxed to within an inch of it's life, but never polished as the...

Re: Forum Activity

I'm not sure I agree with the contention that the Forum isn't active. This topic, for example, has elicited responses from about 10 people in a few days during which other important things have been going on.

Re: Forum Activity

I agree with @myoldjalopy. The Forum isn't just about restoration - I've never restored a car in my life and we made sure we got a Minor that didn't need any work doing on it other than ongoing servicing etc. I have found the Forum incredibly useful for all the little questions and issues that arise...

No, nothing. It has been 3.5 hours since your post so I would have expected it to arrive by now if it was going to.

Re: Local mechanic

I can recommend Stephen Baimbridge in Twyning. He has been servicing and looking after our Traveller pretty well since we had it back in 2010. What he doesn't know about Minors isn't worth knowing. 01684 290441 or 07891 919895. He's on his own so may not be able to answer in which case try again or ...

I've always had the Traveller MoT'ed regardless, for the reason @philthehill gives.

I bet there is someone out there in the customising community who would want you to do their Morris Minor. I'd love to see it.

Re: Newbie to forum traveller

More importantly, tell us about your doggie. Our last Golden Retriever used to love going in our Traveller. Whenever we were going out she would run and sit by the rear doors of the Traveller. She would be most disappointed if she ended up in the Merc E-Class Estate.

Re: Subject line in e-mail notifications

Sorry, I thought might have been what happened.

To clarify, if you start a topic and someone responds, or if you respond to someone else's topic, then the subject line includes the topic description. Otherwise you just get the name of the top level forum.
