I would only grind off 1 axle perch at a time,this way you can sight through to the other one and keep everything in line.

Midget engines have a spacer that solves the problem of the capillary hitting the cylinder bore.

What pitch are your wheels.If they are not Ford then this is a good time to start again.

Why not come along to the scottish branch rally in Pebbles.
It's on Sunday 13th of June.

It's looking to be a big turnout this year judging by the amount of cars on the show stands so far this year.
