the button for the power wash wipe, finally fits the hole, I wrapped my largest drill bit in wet and dry and spun it in the hole making it larger so the button finally slipped in with a click, now to wire it up to the pump motor and the fuse in the main bus. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f327/da...

Re: Pickup restoration part three
cleaning up the master cylinder and the hole it sits in inside the chassis, I'm aware that most of the debris down inside this hole is in actual fact the remains of the top coat of paint blistered off by the spillages of brake fluid. The red primer does seem to have been protected by the top coat an...

Re: Pickup restoration part three
well without doubt my master cylinder needs a deep clean, but when I replaced the cap and watched for leaks while pressing the brake pedal nothing leaked out, the oil in the chassis was spillages caused while topping up, but still the pool on the garage floor was joined by another flow, and here's t...

bleeding the brakes, and with every depression of the pedal I could hear a squerting noise coming from the master cylinder, then I noticed this huge puddle developing underneath the front axle stands, directly below the front chassis leg. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f327/davidsidebottomsquarep...

epic restoration thread, with multiple Morris vehicles in your pictures. How did you strip the bonnet, chemical or bead blasted? a very watchable thread I have to say.

Re: Pickup restoration part three
this might not be everyone's cup of tea, but after so many failures I decided to motorize the windscreen wash pump, a kit from ESM, so far Ive wired the earth between the clean metal washers of the pump mount, connected the hoses up, just the lead to the switch and then on to the power. http://i50.p...

Re: Pickup restoration part three
Thanks Bob, thanks Phil, I'll be getting on with the shock mounts first thing. The drum mounted reversed, looks odd, but it does hold it all together and not block your view. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f327/davidsidebottomsquarepantsdave/drum%20reversed_zpsufzq4kdp.jpg once Ive completed the ...

Thanks Bob, clean and tidy. My next puzzle is the rear shock absorber top mount, it's been incorrectly fitted from the start, my fault, now the rubbers are failing and it's time to fit the proper mounting. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f327/davidsidebottomsquarepantsdave/rear%20shock%20top%20old...

Re: Pickup restoration part three
the remains of the old oil seal are taking a beating to get them out, if I can only crimp them down so I can get a purchase on them from behind I could break it out. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f327/davidsidebottomsquarepantsdave/rear%20hub%20old%20steel%20ring%20still%20in%20place_zpseigckbjk...
