Re: Edd's 1098 engine rebuild.
Hello all, sorry for silence. Life got mad. Anybody got any tips on getting dents out of the sump? Do I put something in it and tap them out from above or turn it upside own? Was it flat originally or was there a ridge in it? Mine is rather lumpy![frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1457081145...

Re: Edd's 1969 2 door. UHU62H
25th birthday came and went yesterday. Ordered the two repair panels to finish the LH door, a new jet. (I broke the other one being ham fisted and careless. Waste of money and lesson learned.) I also ordered a new gearbox to body earth strap, the car isn't starting at the minute, just going click, c...

Certainly been hit by a second wind! Going to pop the door back on tomorrow, for good!!!! Haha. Fed up of taking it on and off, I remember when I thought that job was daunting!

Re: Edd's 1969 2 door. UHU62H
RH door frame filled, primed and top coat. Same with RH door. Got carried away with the top coat because it was satisfying..I was only meant to be covering the primed section... Boot lid finally aligned, catch, number plate and badge on. Also fitted bullet connectors to the wires for my headlights r...

Re: Edd's 1969 2 door. UHU62H
That is exactly the issue I'm having. I've tried moving the holes slightly on the boot lid itself but I just gave up and stomped out of the garage in frustration. I'm leaving it for a while and doing other jobs and keeping my eye out for a steel one.

Yeh I did it one too many times and happened to be in Halfords when I saw it and thought it would solve all my problems! It solved the losing bolts spanners and wrenches problem at least! I could do with loads of them!!

Re: Edd's 1969 2 door. UHU62H
Door trial fitted, fits great! Leaving it on now and doing things around it. I also filled my repair a bit with body filler to neaten it up but didn't take a photo of that.[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1453484423_11719 [/frame] Also, this is the best £8 I've ever spent.[frame] http://mm...

Re: Edd's 1969 2 door. UHU62H
Did the hole in my RH door frame making that side finished and ready for the door to be hung again (hoping it fits...) It wasn't as neat as I'd like as I messed up drilling out a couple of spot welds. A splash of filler over it and I'll learn for the other side. Cheers Edd[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/...

Dash back together, choke connected. Try to start, no joy. Plugs out and cleaned, distributor points clearly closed up, regapped, fateful turn of key then boom! He goes!!! Need to tune the carb in but I'm gassing myself in the garage so leave that little victory![frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.ph...

Haha!
The £100 isn't to soften the blow for me, more for my wife. At least I can take her out for dinner and alleviate my guilt....it was our wedding present money that bought it.

Re: Teardrop trailer project for sale Devon.
Not particularly helpful BMC. I'm a man who's made a mistake, can see that and am trying to rectify it and give someone the chance of having a better starting point than nothing for a teardrop before I burn it.

Re: Underseal Removal
I went for a mask and careful application of heat with a blow torch and using a paint scraper. Horrible job.
