Re: Hello, New MMOC Member

The Traveller is a lovely car and practical too. I quite see the appeal. If you are going to purchase a restored one then, no doubt, the timber frame will have been replaced - but will still require a fair bit of looking after if you use the car regularly or keep it outside at all. If you don't nee...

Re: Hello, New MMOC Member

One thing I can say is that a Morris Minor doesn't have to be fully restored to be reliable. The first time I drove to the South of France was in an old Morris Minor I had paid £80.00 for. I never had a moment of trouble with it mechanically :) Northern France is not actually that far away from Sou...

Re: Hello, New MMOC Member

Wares will certainly do a rebuild for you but you ought to be aware that a good quality professional restoration can easily cost more than buying a car in good condition and ready to use and enjoy. Yes, I'm aware that, sadly I have no mechanical skill so I cannot restore the car myself, I'm trying ...

Re: Hello, New MMOC Member

The Morris Minor is still such a great little car. You can do SO much with them if you want to. Best advice is simply to buy the best/most sound example you can find for the money you have available as a major restoration will cost far more than buying a decent car in the first place. What age/mode...

Re: Spotted today.

saw a broken down convertible on the grass verge just south of Peterborough services - London bound on the A1. was about 1pm. I couldn't stop as I was doing 70mph and was late. I think I know the car you're referring to, a family member said they had spotted a broken down convertible about that tim...

Re: Spotted today.

A family member said they had spotted a maroon saloon with grey interior trim, sadly I have no more details as their description was quite vague

Just been to see 'Yesterday'. A very good film - puts Lowestoft on the map & especially the Pier Inn. https://www.google.co.uk/travel/hotels/Lowestoft/entity/CgoIxtC-q76e8_lPEAE?g2lb=2502404%2C4208993%2C4223281%2C4252074%2C4253230%2C4254308%2C4258168%2C4260007%2C4265959%2C4270442%2C4274032%2C42...

Re: Hello, New MMOC Member

Hello,

Thank you all for such a warm welcome, I'm hoping that Charles Ware will do a full rebuild for me, I'm trying to get a Traveller, 1964 preferably, with the 1098cc engine.

Hi Joe Welcome I have not been a member long either but sadly no longer young (I suppose it's all relative) I still feel young and stupid at times. What model Minor are you getting? Post some photos when you get it. Regards Dermot. Hi Dermot, Thank you for a warm welcome, I'm hoping for a Traveller...

Re: Morris Minor Music

I don't own a Minor currently (In the process of purchasing my first), but I do however have a playlist for the Minor, I mainly listen to The Beatles
with it being music of the era and the fact that I'm
a massive Beatles fan, I also play Oasis, Blur and Van Halen from time to time
