Re: Conversion Gasket Set Contents
B m c is right,In 50 years of twisting wrenches ,found with cork or rubber gaskets, glue or gasket seal on one side
nothing on t'other.A lot of times if you do both sides the gasket will squease out.

Re: hif38 carb
I check for leaks with a spray can of W D 40.With engine running,
spray lightly at manifold gaskets ,carb gaskets, throttle shafts etc.
if engine speeds up you have an air leak.Just make sure not to
spray into carb',

Re: fiat head bolt
B M C is correct ,if one has broken the rest are likely to be over stressed as well. Each time the bolts are tightened they stretch a little.Do you know how many times the head has been tightened ?and was it torqued correctly? Anyway best of british luck . Kenny in the colonies.

Re: Water Loss
I dont know if any one has had this problem ,with 1275 m g engines.
they had brass plugs in the cyl heads because the cylinder bores came out to
close to water holes in the head. The plugs would get pushed up in the head by
the gasket. Then would leak into cyl'.
